The USS Mercury (NCC-83010) is a Obena-class starship currently assigned to the Fourth Fleet. She forms a part of Sirius Squadron, where her role in exploration missions are focused on her capabilities as a diplomatic platform. Though favoured as a first contact specialist, she is also highly capable in building relationships with newer and developing contacts with the Federation, and expanding exploratory operations through diplomatic relationships. Under the command of the seasoned Captain Taviel Daragon, Mercury's experienced crew take on a traditional approach of seeking out new civilisations and extending the warm hand of the Federation.
