USS Hart

From Bravo Fleet

USS Hart NCC-68819 is a Norway -class Federation starship currently assigned to Fourth Fleet's Task Force 47. As part of the Typhon Wayfinding Squadron she undertakes a wide variety of followup and secondary contact missions through the fleet's field of operations.

Service History

Launched in 2368 from the Tellar Prime Fleet yards, Hart's early years of service were fairly uneventful, mostly operating alongside the Starfleet Auxilary to deliver aid and resources to a variety of projects securing the newly formed demilitarized zone along the Cardassian Border. The early 2370s saw Hart spending extended time away from base deploying monitoring satellites, repairing planetary infrastructure, providing routine resupply and servicing border colonies under the rising spectre of tensions with the Dominion.

In 2373, with the formal commencement of the Dominion War, Hart was reassigned to support logistics close to the front escorting supply convoys through the badlands, where her robust and armoured design allowed her to weather the natural wear and tear of the plasma storms. Her strong frame and familiarity with the region led her to being assigned long range reconnaisence duties during the later part of the war, capitalising on her ability to watch and wait in locations other vessels could not sustain for long periods of time.

Following the war Hart was redeployed to the more coreward territories of the Federation, supporting the operations of Task Force 17 by returning to her initial role of second contact. Over the course of fiteen years, Hart and her crew made good on hundreds of promises made by the Federation to the independant colonies of the frontier region, garnering a reputation as a reliable problem solver.

After a stay in the Avalon Fleet Yards in the 2390s, where she recieved a number of standard service refits, she departed for the newly constructed Deep Space 47 to provide vital logistic support to the newly accessable Thomar Expanse.

Configuration

Much of Hart's design and infrastructure is still in keeping with her initial construction in 2368 and the Avalon Fleet Yard's team were surprised to see even the carpet was in excellent condition, her crew having taken pains over three decades to keep the ship in good form and well serviced. Since her recent refit in 2391, her cushy surroundings now make heavy use of holographic technology to maximise the vessels internal space and provide a mote of luxury to the ship's windowless environment.

Three Stags

Located on deck five, beneath the main bridge is the main crew lounge aka 'The Three Stags'. Over time, the open plan configuration and spacious pub has become a popular haunt of many of the crew members in their off duty hours who seek the relaxed and jovial buzz of laughter that echoes down the corridors. The walls are covered in picture frames featuring memories of the ship's numerous adventures, including a host of faces from crew members current and past aswell as several trophies of the ship's service. The most dear of all to the ship's company is the handcarved trio of stags, created as a memorial to the vessels first captain who led the ship on it's first decade of service, through the war and beyond. The beautiful yew statues look outward through the rooms forward portal, leaping towards the ship's next adventure.

The Conservatory

As part of the ship's mission profile, she often plays host to a variety of dignitaries and visitors from independant colonies and outposts, providing a backdrop for arguments over the finer details of an agreement. To facilitate this, Hart has a large events complex located within her lower decks including an auditorium, small ballroom and a number of group meeting spaces nicknamed 'The Conservatory'. Outside of mission operations this complex of entertainment and leisure spaces is utilised by the crew for regular group activities, events and celebrations.
