The Valora Reach is a region of the Shackleton Expanse locate inside the Trialen Patch, an unstable but navigable nebula. The Reach was recently discovered through the use of the Trialen Corridor. A narrow, semi-stable passage allowing transit through the Patch.
The Reach contains sixteen star systems, home to three interstellar powers the Aurali Republic, the Grand Republic of Valen, and the Confederacy of Aligned Systems. Each vying for influence and survival in a politically volatile, resource-rich region. The Reach's internal politics and strange subspace phenomena have drawn intense scrutiny.
