USS-Oakland (NCC-75012) is a California-class Federation starship currently assigned to Fourth Fleet's Task Force 21.
In 2402, during the Vaadwaur invasion of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, Oakland, under the command of Captain Oskar Maising, responded to a distress signal from Narendra III. Despite being massively outnumbered and outgunned, the utility cruiser put up a stubborn defence that saw the Vaadwaur beaten back, and the ship and crew rescued by the Klingon reinforcements despite severe damage.
