USS Vega NCC-82527 is a Lamarr-class Federation starship currently assigned to Fourth Fleet's Task Force 72. Tasked with a 5 - year mission of diplomacy and exploration in the Gamma Quadrant, Captain Williams and his crew are dispatched to resume tentative efforts to win over new allies from those peoples abandoned in the withdrawal of Dominion forces to thier borders post the Dominion War.
Bridge
Situated on Deck #1, the bridge of the USS Vega features a similar layout to that of her sister Sovereign - class, but with a larger emphasis on science station consoles - reflecting the nature of her mission profile. The bridge, like the rest of the interior, reflects the modern design ethos of vessels typical to the Mid 2390s with austere, clean lines and sleek flooring and metal walls.
LCARS UPGRADE
With a long history of test - bed design and deployments, the Lamarr - class has benefited from several upgrades common to the modern fleet, including a recent upgrade to modern LCARS displays and holoscreen interfaces at duty stations. These improvements serve to provide a familiar and intuitive control ergonomics for newer officers and crew.
