IKS Y'tem IKS-133 is a B'rel-class starship of the Klingon Empire currently assigned to Fourth Fleet's Task Force 17 under a cross-command exchange program.

The ship is currently Commanded by L'rena Daughter of Beltor, a member of House Zor'vek. House Zor'vek is a minor house but dedicated to the old ways and a staunch ally of House Toral.

The vessel is 'living' symbol Klingon history. A historic warship the Y'tem carried most of its crew through the glorious battles of the Dominion War. It is a symbol of Klingon resilience and cooperation within the uneasy alliance with the Federation and carries the fierce pride and cunning of the Klingon Empire way beyond its borders. The Y’tem is fast, silent and strikes with precision. The historic vessel already being remembered in songs throughout the empire, its story continues with a new crew and new horizons. Though now on a mission of discovery, her fresh crew hope to one day have songs sung of their adventures in the deepest reaches of the galaxy.

History

The first B'rel-class starships were launched in the 2270s, the IKS Y'tem isn't quite that old but much of the original design did not change. The Y'tem was constructed and launched in 2337, and has served the Klingon Defence force in some form ever since.

The Y'tem was assigned to the combined Federation / Klingon / Romulan fleet assembled at Deep Space 9 in mid-2373. It was one of the first ships to complete repairs at the station. She served the alliance with honour with many of the crew earning their places into Stovokor while serving aboard. Fighting throughout the wars she has claimed the kills of countless starships, bringing glory to all who serve aboard. This ageing vessel still carries the honour of the Empire into the far reaches of the galaxy.

In 2402 the vessel was owned by House Zor'vek, a minor house allied with House Toral, she flies under the command of L'rena Daughter of Beltor. Nearing its 70th year, she is fresh from a refit and has been assigned to assist the Federation's exploration of the Shakleton Expanse.

Caelari Convergence:

The ageing Klingon bird of prey was sent from Framheim station as the first Klingon vessel to explore the Caelari System after the fall of the Shroud. There they discovered a Tri-World civilisation, bound together by faith in the ‘Radiance’. When a convoy of pilgrims was caught in a dangerous situation the Y’tem and the Federation Starship USS San Clemente were forced to work together in rescuing them. Invited to the capital city of Varanesh, and working together, both crews uncovered that the great spire at the cities centre is an ancient resonant amplifier. As the truth was slowly uncovered, Klingon Honour and Starfleet curiosity walked a delicate line between revealing too much and protecting a civilisation built around faith.
