USS San Jose NCC-75583 is a California-class Federation starship currently assigned to the Fourth Fleet's Task Force 93.
History
Construction
The construction of the USS San Jose NCC-75583 was completed at the San Francisco Fleet Yards in 2400. The ship was built for diplomatic purposes, with well appointed conference rooms and VIP suites taking up a large portion of the upper decks.
First Year
The San Jose's first mission was to bring a contingent of Engineering personnel to the New Providence Shipyards to oversee the decommissioning of several vessels. From there, they were tasked to bring a shipment of supplies to the Delta 11 Outpost, near the Klingon border. During this mission, they experienced a temporal anomaly which sent them back to the 23rd Century, during the Klingon War.
Configuration
The USS San Jose NCC-75583 is configured to host dignitaries, ambassadors, trade delegations, and the like. Decks 3,4 and 5 are outfitted with VIP quarters and there are several large conference rooms to accommodate the various diplomatic roles the ship is intended to fill, at the sacrifice of additional science or engineering labs.
