The USS Truckee is an older, but capable California-class starship, assigned to Fourth Fleet. Conducting second-contact missions is her primary mission, with the standard Starfleet mandate of exploration and humanitarian aid being considered dotted-line responsibilities. Captain Marcus Beardsly has recently taken command, with the mandate of verifying her fresh overhaul and returning to the stars.

History

The USS Truckee completed a 6 month overhaul in drydock to close out the year 2400. Outdated power relays from a rushed construction were replaced, along with upgrades to the sensor suite to accommodate her scientific mandate.

USS Truckee leaves Earth orbit for a shakedown cruise in August 2401.

Configuration=

As part of her overhaul, the USS Truckee was given a slightly expanded sensor suite for scientific observation. To make room for these additional capabilities, her weapons systems were slightly degraded. Dorsal torpedo tubes were completely removed to house the new sensor suite, leaving this California-class starship mildly more susceptible to her aft.
