USS Cernan (NCC-92421/1) is an Aquarius-class light escort currently attached to the USS Challenger as her embarked support vessel. The Cernan is nominally commanded by the Challenger's Captain, however, she will usually be commanded by the Senior Officer of the Watch or another of the Challenger's senior officers as directed by Captain Rix. The Cernan forms part of Challenger Squadron.
