Task Force Commanding Officer

The Task Force Commanding Officer (TFCO) is a voting member of Bravo Fleet Command responsible for managing a fleet unit. This position is established under Article III of the Bravo Fleet Charter and encompasses both strategic oversight and operational management of the Task Force.

TFCOs are selected from among fleet members who have demonstrated exceptional understanding of the Bravo Fleet Charter, ethos, and operational processes. In some cases, this position may be held concurrently by members of the Bravo Fleet Senior Staff.

General Duties

• Leading a Bravo Fleet Task Force.
• Preparing reports and updates for distribution as directed by the Operations Officer.
• Maintaining an accurate list of active members.
• Developing Task Force-specific rules and canon in collaboration with the Bravo Fleet Intelligence Officer and Bravo Fleet Logistics Officer.
• Monitoring and recording member activity.
• Nominating members for promotions and awards.
• Mentoring and guiding the Task Force Executive Officer (TFXO) and any Task Group Commanding Officers (TGCOs).
• Moderating the Task Force Discord channels.
• Leading by example during fleet-wide events by achieving high participation rates.

Specific Responsibilities

Member Management

• Regularly review member dossiers and activity logs.
• Track promotion eligibility and recommend awards.
• Support inactive members and manage AWOL procedures.

Reporting

• Submit quarterly reports summarizing Task Force activity.
• Highlight fiction updates, promotions, awards, and other developments.
• Coordinate with Task Force Senior Staff to ensure timely and complete reporting.

Strategic Development

• Translate fleet-wide strategic goals into Task Force-level initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments and staff to support Bravo Fleet-wide programs.

In Character Role

In character, the TFCO represents a senior Starfleet officer responsible for overseeing the operations, personnel, and strategic direction of a Task Force. They serve as the primary liaison between Bravo Fleet Command and the members of their Task Force.

There is no expectation that TFXOs will write in character with other members but it is encouraged when helping junior members in beginning their first missions as part of a mentorship programme.
