The USS Nestus is a Raven class corvette assigned to the Fourth Fleet, operating out of Starbase 72. Science teams from the starbase are rotated onto the Nestus on a mission-by-mission basis. The science ship is equipped to venture on short-term social science missions of a month or less. With an etymology dating back to an ancient Greek river god, the USS Nestus serves as a winding link between lakes of mystery and the oceanic depths of undiscovered knowledge. Be it missions of exploration, research or diplomacy, the crew of the science specialists seek out the undefined bonds that hold civilizations together.
