USS Astute (NCC-97407) is a Echelon-class Federation starship currently assigned to Fourth Fleet's Task Force 72. She is currently under the command of Captain Monique McDowell. Tasked with providing humanitarian aid and border protection along the former DMZ, her configurable payloads are a distinct advantage in tagging any threat that proves to much for her to handle alone, including interlopers from the Gamma Quadrant via the Bajoran Wormhole.
