The USS Thunderchild (NCC-63549) is an Akira-class Federation starship operated by Starfleet, renowned for its tactical prowess and resilience in the late 24th and early 25th centuries. Named after the fictional HMS Thunder Child from H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds, which heroically engaged Martian forces to protect civilian ships, the Thunderchild has a distinguished record of defending the Federation.
She is currently assigned to Fourth Fleet's Task Force 47 under the command of Captain Rynar Jast.
